Youthful Hearts 50+ exercise classes are held in Marin County, California at the Margaret Todd Senior Center in Novato, and also on Zoom. Unfortunately, after 26 years, I’m no longer teaching at the San Rafael Community Center. Currently, my classes are meeting on Zoom on Mondays and Thursdays each week, and in-person on Tuesdays in Novato, CA. We’re having a great time together! Oct 26, ’20October 26●●(2 events) – Low Impact Aerobics After a good warm-up, we do low impact aerobics for approx 30 minutes. Fitness levels 1, 2 and 3 are demonstrated so you can choose which one is right for you. The 2nd part of class is devoted to strength training (using hand weights and elastic bands) and stretching. From 10:45am-11: 00am, we focus on various stress release practices such as meditation, qi-gong, breathing, stretching, and energy therapies. There is no mat work in this class. All of the exercises are done standing or sitting in a chair. (On the first Friday and third Monday of each month, from 10:40-11am, we do fun beginner line dances for those class members who want to join us.) – Chair Exercise |
