Youthful Hearts 50+ exercise classes are held in Marin County, California at the Margaret Todd Senior Center in Novato, and also on Zoom. Unfortunately, after 26 years, I’m no longer teaching at the San Rafael Community Center. Currently, my classes are meeting on Zoom on Mondays and Thursdays each week, and in-person on Tuesdays in Novato, CA. We’re having a great time together! If you’d like more info about my live-streaming fitness classes on Zoom or my upcoming in-person classes, contact me here. Hope to see you in a class sometime soon!

October 26
Guided Meditation
10:45am – 11:00am
Led by Jeanette
This is the “rest and restore” part of the class. We rotate between meditation, qi-gong, energy therapies and more stretching with deep breathing. Relax your whole body to the sound of peaceful music and Jeanette’s soothing voice. You will be guided into feeling good and letting go of stress and tension. Give yourself the gift of your own natural presence and experience joyful gratitude for the many blessings in your life. (On the first Friday and third Monday of each month we do fun, beginner line dances from 10:40am-11am, instead of relaxation practices.)
Still Going Strong

Strength Training

Led by Jeanette
This class is a wonderful blend of strengthening & stretching, done standing, sitting, and on a mat. The strength exercises are done using hand and leg weights and elastic bands. Modifications are shown for those with certain limitations. This is an all over workout that will leave you feeling great! Class ends in a 5-7 minute guided relaxation on the mat.

Chair Exercise
12:40pm – 1:30pm
Join us for this gentle, unique exercise program that blends elements of Qigong, yoga, non-impact aerobics, and meditation all done while sitting in a chair. This class is ideal for you if you are new to exercise or have a physical challenge such as limited mobility that prevents you from doing conventional exercise. It is a fun, convenient, energetic way to burn calories, improve muscle tone, manage blood sugar levels, increase range of motion, lower stress and feel better all over in your body. Everyone is welcome, including those who need a wheelchair, walker or cane.
