In the beginning, I set up my Zoom classes on a simple donation basis (without any suggested pricing) because I never imagined that we’d be going for months and months online. Though I’ve managed to stay in business with the compensation that I’ve been blessed to receive from many of you, I’ve still lost a lot of income this year. (My pay at the Goldenaires was not based on the low, non-profit fees that class members paid. Rather, I was receiving equitable monthly compensation from the Goldenaires Organization, which I’m no longer receiving.)

Also, as many of you know, I haven’t received any admin/tech support from the senior centers since March…I’m wearing all the hats in my business these days. Since we don’t know how long it’ll be before we can get back to our in-person classes, it’s time for me to make some adjustments to the pricing setup so that I can better sustain myself for the longterm.

I consider accessible pricing part of my heart-centered business, and I also want to be compensated well for my valuable services. My work is not just a job to me, it’s a passionate calling that I’ve spent most of my adult life developing.

I’ve decided to experiment with using a sliding scale so that each person still has some flexibility to decide payment amount based on value received and ability to pay.

Fee Info:

Suggested sliding scale of $6 – $12 per class day, per person, paid monthly.* (Includes the option to take more than one class on each class day and the optional use of my weekly-updated online videos.)

$8 – $12, per class day, is the amount that I prefer to be paid. This is well within the professional industry standard, based on my level of education, skill, and experience.

$6 – $7, per class day, is for those who need a lower price. I feel $6 is a reasonable minimum, but if you need another arrangement, let me know, and we’ll work something out.

(FYI: Before the pandemic, the Goldenaires had been operating at a loss for quite a while and the board was planning on increasing the membership and class fees in June 2020. I don’t know what they’ll decide to charge when we start up again, but it’ll definitely be more than it was before.)

I want all my class members to continue to have access to my fitness program, along with me being able to fulfill my own financial needs and aspirations. I’m holding a vision that we’ll continue to invest in one another’s well being in mutually rewarding ways. Thank you! ❤️

The following are 3 different ways to send funds to me:

1. Send a check to: Jeanette Logan, 116 Sunnyglen Drive, Vallejo, Ca 94591 or
2. Use PayPal to send money to my PayPal account using my personal email address: Jeanettelogan@mac.com  (Please select that you are “paying a friend” otherwise PayPal takes a percentage.) or
3. Use Zelle to: Jeanettelogan@mac.com

*Because we’re dealing with unpredictable pandemic circumstances, I think it’s best to pay monthly. It’s a more manageable time frame. However, for convenience, if you choose to pay me for a longer time frame, please write the time frame details on your payment so that I can keep good records and plan accordingly.

PG&E Outages

Recently, there were a few class members who were not able to attend class due to PG&E planned power outages.  I do not expect anyone to pay for classes that are canceled due to power outages. In the event that you or I lose power, please give yourself a makeup class, since I’m not currently set up to process refunds efficiently. Hopefully, we’ll have no further need for these outages. Stay safe and well.

“A man ninety years old was asked to what he attributed his longevity. I reckon, he said, with a twinkle in his eye, it’s because most nights I went to bed and slept when I should have sat up and worried.” ~ Dorthea Kent
