Fitness and Natural Wellness Experience

Jeanette Logan has been involved in fitness and expressive healing arts for over 35 years. Her extensive experience in both arenas has helped her successfully inspire and motivate people of all ages (4 to 97!) to become more active and step into greater aliveness. Since 1994, she has focused her fitness teaching work on training age 50+ adults because she really loves to work with this special population.

Jeanette organizes all components of her fitness classes, including choreography, music, and program design. She teaches low-impact aerobics, strength training, chair aerobics, stretching, relaxation, meditation, and line dancing. Presently, she teaches her 50+ group fitness classes in northern California for women and men at Margaret Todd Senior Center in Novato and for the Goldenaires at the San Rafael Community Center.  Jeanette also works one-on-one, privately, with women who desire individualized, natural wellness coaching and/or personal fitness training. She conducts her sessions in person, on the phone, or via Skype.

Throughout the years, Jeanette’s passionate curiosity about the many facets of natural wellness and the mind/body/spirit connection has led her to explore various types of fitness and healing. She believes we all have within us an innate capacity for self-healing and increased vitality.  She says, “I encourage my class members and clients to listen to their own body wisdom and to access their own inspired movement and expression, not to just be following me. When we move and express in ways that feel authentically good to us, then there is no stopping us! We truly begin to expand our sparkling aliveness and improve our health from the inside out. Instead of just dragging ourselves to the gym or to a class or private session because ‘we should,’ we look forward to it!”

Other Relevant Experience

Since 1993, through co-leadership and management, she has worked in partnership with her husband, Val Logan. Together they run their own personal development business (Living Ultimate Values). In this creatively alive personal growth arena, Jeanette enjoys using movement, music, art, writing, storytelling, meditation, improvisation and play in supportive ways to facilitate empowerment and healing.

Living Ultimate Values (LUV) workshops and private sessions are designed around Val’s own innovative Transformational Coaching & Spiritual Counseling techniques and are soon to include Jeanette’s unique use of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). Using their skillful expertise in these disciplines, they safely and gently guide people through their self-limiting beliefs and emotional blocks into greater joy and success. Val and Jeanette coach people on how to definitively build the strong energetic foundation that supports everything else they want to bring into their lives.

Having co-facilitated many support groups and workshops with Val, Jeanette has developed a keen sensitivity to the emotional issues that many people have regarding their body image and their own self-acceptance. In addition, she has worked through many of her own personal issues relating to food and body image. As a result, her strength and compassion inspire her clients and class members toward greater self-respect and balanced health. Jeanette’s experience with Living Ultimate Values & her training with Val have been invaluable to her work as a fitness instructor & wellness educator.
