How are all of you sweet Youthful Hearts doing? Hopefully you haven’t floated away in this continuous rain we’ve been having. Did you managed to have some fun this holiday season? I hope so! I’ve enjoyed a wonderful holiday vacation, blending playtime with lots of quality rest, some bits of meaningful work and some exercise, of course. I only exercised one time outdoors this whole 2 weeks! The rest was indoors…mostly in my own garage. 🙂

Each time that I exercised during my vacation, I allowed myself to do whatever I felt inspired to do in the moment. I even danced around the house a couple of times to my favorite music! That was a blast. My husband was thoroughly entertained by that one, I assure you. It was nice to take a break from my usual busy schedule. As a result, I’m now feeling rested and all fired up for this new year! Yippie!

I’ve missed you all a lot and am eager to see your beautiful faces again in class. I’ll enjoy hearing about your holidays and cutting a rug to some upbeat music. Let’s get our hearts pumping, blood circulating, minds activated, moods lifted, bones and muscles strengthened, systems balanced and our spirits awakened! Weeee! No matter what the weather will be this week, I’ll be there ready to kick up my heels again with all of you. I hope that you’ll come and join the fitness fun to help get your 2011 started off with a healthy bang, with plenty of quality self care and nurturing.

As usual, you all have helped to contribute to my joyfulness over the holidays (and all year long). I am overwhelmed by the depth of your generosity. As a result of your abundant gifts this holiday season, I was able to buy myself some very special treats PLUS my hubby and I went to see TWO plays: 1001 Arabian nights at the Berkeley Rep Theatre and  Shrek the Musical at the Orpheum in San Francisco. Both performances were thoroughly entertaining. And I still have some money left over! Don’t know what I’m going to do with it, but I’m sure not going to save it for a rainy day. I think I’ll save it for a sunny day instead. 🙂 I feel so valued by all of you, and I can not thank you enough for what you do for me.  I look forward to spending quality time with you in this new year. I’ll see you soon.

With love,

Your words are so encouraging…thanks Jeanette. I wasn’t able to start back last week because I was out of town. Boy, have I missed your classes. I may be a little creaky in the knees when I see you next, but I’ll be there! I’m looking forward to getting back into the flow with you.
Happy new year to you too. Sharon

Hi Sharon, I’m glad to hear from you. I was wondering if you had gone out of town. Don’t worry…you won’t be the only one with creaky knees in class. We’ll all creak together, one gentle step at a time. 🙂

    Dear Jeanette,
what a lovely and inspiring letter for the new year. So glad you did so many fun things. We had a nice christmas with our family, and then last week got together with Bills family. It was a great and refreshing time. We still have our tree and lights, but will take them down next week. We mostly sat around and relaxed. Thank you for all you give to us, not only in exercise, but in your joyfullness and kindness. An abundant new year to you and Val and look forward to our class this am. Love Angie

    Hi Jeanette,
Happy New Year! So tickled to hear how you spent your gratitude money – you give us so much! I’ll miss class today & Thurs, but will be back on Mon 1/10. Looking forward to returning to my routine & working out with my buddies. See you then, Jean

      Hi Jean,
GREAT to hear from you. Thanks for the note. Yes, I had a blast shopping for sure. I love your reference: “gratitude money”. I feel so blessed! Hope you had a great holiday season too. We look forward to seeing you next week. Take care.

    Hi Jeanette,
Happy New Year to you. Thanks for the joyful e-mail and fun catch-up.

I just want you to know I will be to class on Tues, but not until the stretching section. I am getting over a “gift” from my grandboys and don’t wish to share it with the class. I am looking forward to seeing you and all of our classmates.

We had a fabulous time in Arizona, even though there was just 2 days that were warm enough to get outside. The grandboys, their new puppy and I did get in a 2 hour walk (they road their scooters) around the neighborhood one day and a shorter walk another day. I managed to not gain any weight, just a little more flab to be firmed up in class.

    See you Tues.

    • Jeanette says:

      Hi Mary,
Thanks for your email. I’m glad that I did get to see you on Tuesday. You look great! Your Arizona trip obviously did you some good. (besides the “gift” your grandkids gave you.) I can not believe that you have grandkids. Wow. You’re amazing. 🙂 All the best to you.

Hi Jeanette: It was so good to get back into class today. I actually think I will be a bit sore tomorrow – a good sign.
My goodness, next time I have some spending money I am going to call you because I am amazed at all that you did with our gift. You are obviously a pro at shopping. Glad you had fun.
Once again, Happy, Healthy New Year and see you on Friday.

    • Jeanette says:

Hey there Jean, Thanks for the email. I love hearing that you were glad to get back to class. That’s music to my ears! Hopefully you felt okay the next day. 🙂 Yes, I’m a pretty good shopper sometimes. But do remember that I was using gratitude money given to me my Goldenaires and Margaret Todd Senior Center classes So I had a fat wallet for sure! I’m so blessed.
I’ll see you soon. All the best.
